Following the modern photography trend of 'flat-lay' to show-off many delicious recipes and restaurant food offerings, the interior design direction for '6 Smith' flaunts a variety of textures, rich and unusual colour hues and vertical layering of forms to create a feast for the eyes!

The cafe is a three-dimensional interpretation of the inspirational hero image - the Boysenberry Pie - selected to drive the design.

Starting from the base layers of the textural timber tabletop, to the crusty pastry layers, the rich juicy blackberry shades and even the icing on top – it has all been extracted and created into an abstract interpretation of a space. It’s all about telling a delicious story of layering, texture and colour.
